There is a story of a lady in Eritrea that was held in prison because of her belief in Christ. She wasn't just held in prison though, she was beaten because she recited Scripture that she had memorized. They beat her to "beat the Bible out of her head!" As we get back into the Acts of the Apostles this week, we see a young man named Stephen face the greatest challenge of his life. Through his story, we will learn a great deal about serving Christ with all we have. Read Acts 6:8-15 and we'll see you Sunday.

The biggest blockbuster movies right now are superhero stories. One of the reasons is that people envision having the powers that many characters display, even though we know we can never have them. This week as we get back to the book of Acts, we see that there is a power out there that is more powerful than anything else.
