When I coached basketball, I learned the hard way that coaches often times out coach themselves and cost their team. We go well beyond the basics as we try to get fancy and out coach someone else. What I learned was the KISS principle, Keep It Simple Stupid! That same principle applies to us as believers. There are thousands of books and speakers who try to complicate what it takes to follow Christ, when it really is very simple. This week we see a man who understood that, and he didn’t even have the advantage of the New Testament! Read Acts 10:1-8 this week and we’ll see you Sunday.

The biggest blockbuster movies right now are superhero stories. One of the reasons is that people envision having the powers that many characters display, even though we know we can never have them. This week as we get back to the book of Acts, we see that there is a power out there that is more powerful than anything else.
